"This is definitely decaf, isn't it?" says Jade, looking ominously down at her freshly made coffee. And whilst I reassure her that I've remembered to make it correctly this time, it occurs to me that Jade needs none of the stimulants that so often complement the busy role of account exec in order to remain focused and alert! Indeed, it is testament to her character that she remains so attentive, perceptive and driven of her own accord, whilst the rest of us rely on regular hits of espresso or Red Bull!
It's just one of Jade's many endearing charms that make her an absolute pleasure to work with. Her organisational skills are second-to-none, adeptly juggling numerous client accounts, requests and meetings whilst playing Mother Goose to her colleagues.
For me, she is the well-oiled cog in the Sugar Rush machine that keeps the rest of us inline. The bit, that if it were to be removed, the metaphorical wheels would undoubtedly fall off.
Jade knows how to ensure a perfect balance between a client's demands and a creative's pride, seldom stifling either in the process.
Outside the Studio, she manages to maintain her commitment to hard-work, letting off the stress we've caused her both in the gym and by throwing some shapes in her Zumba classes!
Having worked with Jade for about 5 years now, I have a great amount of respect for not only the way she conducts herself in the company of both colleagues and clients, but also that she's put up with my constant whistling and foot-tapping to dire music for all this time!
Patience is indeed a virtue with Jade…though I suspect another cup of caffeinated coffee may prove to be a step too far!
